Clove

Cloves are the fruit of a tree indigenous to Indonesia. In addition to their culinary uses, closes have mild analgesic properties and oil of clove has long been used in dentistry as a treatment for toothache. Cloves are loaded with many highly effective antioxidants including procyanidin and quercetin. There is also evidence that eugenol and eugenol acetate inhibit platelet aggregation and thus protect against heart attack and thrombotic strokes. Clove is a source of antioxidants and has anticancer and antimicrobial properties.
