Seed Bar Slice with Cinnamon Honey
Ingredients:
- 4 Cups of Seed Bar Mix
Use a mix of seeds (pumpkin, sesame, sunflower) with some shredded coconut, oats and puffed quinoa up to 4 cups in total.
- 160g Honey Lady Cinnamon Honey
- 125g Butter (or butter substitute)
Option 1 – untoasted:
- Pour Seed Bar Mix in a bowl.
- Melt butter in a saucepan.
- Add honey and gently heat and stir until butter and honey are melted.
- Mix Seed Bar Mix with butter and honey mixture until well combined.
- Pour into a lined 27x18cm sized tin, smooth with the back of a spoon and refrigerate.
- When set (it won’t set too hard) take out of the fridge and cut into squares. Seed bar should then be stored in the fridge.
Option 2 – toasted (my favourite):
- Pour Seed Bar Mix onto an oven tray (or just toss in a wok until toasty) and toast for approx. 6 minutes at 160, mix and retoast for another 6 minutes until lightly toasted.
- Melt butter and honey in a saucepan and lightly simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Mix Seed Bar Mix with butter and honey mixture until well combined.
- Pour into a lined 27x18cm sized tin, smooth with the back of a spoon and refrigerate.
- When set take out of the fridge and cut into squares. Seed bar should then be stored in the fridge.
